What is The Inclined Sleep System

The patent pending Inclined Sleep System Bed Mat is a three piece non-stretch mat made with satin fabric sections at both the head and foot ends and a rubberized non-slip fabric middle section. The Inclined Sleep System uses your own standard bed frame, mattress, box springs and sheets along with the patent pending Inclined Sleep System bed mat and special metal bed risers used to securely raise and support the head end of your bed 3”or 6” giving you up to a 6 degree incline. A steel frame twin, full, queen or king size bed works best due to weight and stability. If you are going to use a wood frame bed the post or legs need to be smaller than 3” in diameter and you will need to inspect the bed frame for stability and insure all nuts and bolts are secure and tightened. We also suggest not using a king size wood frame bed since these are usually very heavy. Also you will want to check to see how many frame support legs are on your bed prior to placing your order so we are able to send you the necessary amount of leg supports for your particular bed, typically you will need 3 of our 1” tall support blocks per support leg. You may also raise the head of your bed using your own method such as wood blocks or bricks, and just purchase the bed mat and shorts package on its own.

*NOTE* We are not responsible for damage to bed frames.

How It Works

Most people spend at least 2/3 of every day, nearly 6,000 hours a year, in a sitting or standing position with the weight of their upper body constantly pressing down on the disc of the lower spine. While wearing your provided satin sleep shorts and by raising only the head end of your bed a few inch’s and sleeping at an incline with your upper body comfortably held in place on the rubberized portion of the bed mat, your lower body will be able to slide on the satin portion of the bed mat. The effect gravity will have on the weight of your lower body is to gently pull and stretch it away from your upper body helping to uncompress and reduce pressure on the disc in your low back while slowly and gently stretching the muscles, tendons and ligaments in the low back that are often associated with back pain. Sleeping at an incline is also known to improve circulation of your cardio vascular system; your blood carries oxygen and nutrients which are essential to helping with your body’s natural healing process. Stretching opens up the muscle tissue and disc space allowing better circulation through these painful areas, the more oxygen and nutrients you can supply to the painful problem area the better the chances of improvement. Increasing the incline of your bed over time by raising it up to our maximum of 6” will increase the pull / stretch.

Why It Works

Most of the back pain products you buy for home use work very well, but only work as well as the time and effort you are able to put into them. Most products require using several minutes a day EVERY day and a lot of times they require more often than once a day use, that means setting aside time daily and consistency in use to get any kind of results, and even under the best efforts or intentions that can be hard to do especially over long periods of time which for some back pain suffers whether chronic or acute can be several weeks, months or even years. And if you are unable to meet their specific requirements for use you most likely will be unable to reach any real noticeable results. The reason the Inclined Sleep System works so well is that you sleep in your bed every night so you will be using it every night and not for just a few minutes but a few hours and that’s how you get results and that’s what sets us apart from the others.

The Inclined Sleep System is NOT a cure for back pain, although it can help to reduce back, hip, and leg pain especially during sleep. The Inclined Sleep System is intended as a sleep comfort product that can help you get a better night’s sleep by gently stretching muscles, tendons and ligaments and reducing pressure on the disc’s of the low back known to be responsible for back, hip, and leg pain in many people, and if we can get you a better more comfortable night’s sleep and the much needed rest your body requires, that’s a great way to start each day.
